Beautiful story of 'Footprints' written by Margaret Fishback Powers

This story is taken from the book 'The Saint, The Suefer and The CEO' by Robin Sharma.

A man had a dream that he saw himself working on a beach alongside 'God'. Across the sky flashed various scenes from this man's life, and for each scene, the man could see two sets of footprints in the sand. One set was of his own and the other belonged to God.

Suddenly the man noticed something  fascinating as he surveyed all the scene of his existence. During certain times there was only one set of footprints in the sand. And this single set of footprints only appeared during the most difficult and painful times of his life's journey. So the man confronted God with this observation, expressing his disappointment that he was left alone when he most needed help. God lovingly explained that during the painful times,  he carried the man.

Waiting...

I was thinking about writing this post for quit a long time...
so here I go...
Some months back my aunt and Om (my subse chotu cousin,8 year old ) came to my home. He was quit upset coz his dad has gone to other city for official work. I tried to cheer him up, but to no avail. I asked whether I can play badminton with him.To my surprise he said yes. After sometime having little snacks, we went down in our  gully to play badminton ( my society do not have compound, thanks to road cutting by Municipal Corporation).

Now,we were playing badminton or were only servicing ( I don't know may be Om would be knowing this, but one thing I know that he was happy and so was I). We were laughing at each other but toghether for our play. After playing for some time, he started asking questions. On that day I realised that he is so talkative, he asked questions like what is your favourite colour, what is your lucky number, which is your favourite animal, who is your best friend  so on and so forth...He was laughing at my answers (poor me:( ) After playing for around an hour I was tried (and he was tired of me:( ). I said we will go home after playing for another five minutes.

After some time, after picking up the shuttle cock (this time he was serving) I failed to find himself. I checked for him behind cars(occupying one whole side of my gully), behind one ashoka tree but he was found nowhere. Then I thought he might have gone home so I went towards my building. I was surprised to see that he was waiting for me at the staircase.

U will say what a big deal in this...
So, answer my question, when was the last time that someone waited for  U so patiently and so affirmatively that U will come. Or let me put it this way, when was the last time that U waited for someone....
